$3.4 Million Lotto Winner Splashes Out: "I'll get the lawns mown for me"
We’ve all answered that age old question at some point in time, and we have all day dreamed about it to. But one woman’s answer to ‘What would you do if you won the lotto?’ was quite simply:
“I’ll get the lawns mown for me” … and that she did.
A retired woman from Rotorua won a grand sum of $3.4 million in the Lotto Big Wednesday draw and plans on now hiring someone to come in and mow the lawns for her, a simple luxury that she has never been able to afford.
The Lotto Big Wednesday draw took place this week on November 30th, 2011 and the winning numbers were 7, 25, 26, 25, 40 and 44 + Tails.
The lady realised that she had won the top prize during the live telecast of the draw.
"I wrote down the numbers to check and thought I was doing pretty well when I got four in a row on one line. Then I just kept going and realised that I had them all right!" she said.
"I rang my daughter to double check the results and she thought I was having a heart attack, as I could hardly get any words out.
"It's just so exciting. My family always tease me about buying my Lotto tickets, and I always get them for birthday presents too - now they will be wishing I had bought them the winning ticket."
The total Big Lotto Wednesday prize package was valued at over $3.4 million and the prize pack included: $2 Million cash, a Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4, an Audi Q7, a Rayglass 2200 boat, $50,000 cash towards luxury travel, $50,000 loaded onto a Platinum VISA card and $675,000 towards a bach.
She plans to pay off the last of her mortgage and help out some of her family members, the rest will be put away safely in the bank.
The ticket was purchased from Pak N’ Save, Rotorua.
